Rafael Galvão de Almeida, a 2018-19 HOPE Center fellow, has successfully defended his dissertation, "Dreaming of Unity: Essays on the History of New Political Economy." Rafael now holds a PhD from the Federal University of Minas Gerais. In a second HOPE Center connection, Rafael's adivsor was Carlos Eduardo Suprinyak, a 2017-18 HOPE Center fellow.
