CHOPE Fellow 2017-18 Aditya Balasubramanian

Aditya Balasubramanian is currently a PhD candidate in history at Trinity College, Cambridge. He has worked as a research associate at the Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab in New Delhi and his research on India and the Bretton Woods Conference is forthcoming in the Journal of World History.

Aditya came to CHOPE to broaden his “understanding of the history of political economy by learning from the visiting fellows and the scholars based here.” In return, he hopes “to bring a perspective from the developing world to the Center’s important research.” In addition to these academic accomplishments, Aditya has earned a Certificate in Acting from the Barry John Acting School and has performed in theaters in Hong Kong, the United Kingdom, and the United States.
