Kevin D. Hoover, Editor of HOPE, Wins Best-Article Prize

Kevin D. Hoover, the editor of History of Political Economy and a HOPE Center affiliate, has won this year's best-article prize awarded by the History of Economics Society.

The prize, which was presented at the 2015 meetings of the HES in June, was for his article titled "On the Reception of Haavelmo's Econometric Thought," published in the March 2014 issue of the Journal of the History of Economic Thought.

Kevin's article traces, using bibliometric and other tools, the reception of Haavelmo's econometric thought, in particular his landmark article "The Probability Approach in Econometrics" (1944), and tries to understand the reasons behind the continuing dispute over Haavelmo's legacy.

The HOPE Center congratulates Kevin for winning this distinguished award!
