Stefan Kolev, 2010-11 Visitor, appointed Full Professor

Stefan Kolev, a 2010-11 HOPE Center Visiting Scholar, was appointed to become Full Professor of Economics and Economic Policy at the University of Applied Sciences Zwickau in Saxony, Germany, beginning in March 2012. Stefan obtained his PhD in Economics at the University of Hamburg with a thesis in history of economic thought dealing with the intellectual relationship between ordoliberalism and the Austrian school. For the past five year he worked at the Hamburg Institute of International Economics and the Wilhelm Röpke Institute, being a senior economist at the former and the managing director of the latter. In Zwickau he will teach among others an undergraduate course on the history of economic thought and an undergraduate course on Hayek and ordoliberalism. For more on Stefan, please visit his website.
