  •  RDU International Airport is located about 15 miles from campus. There is a taxi service to and from the airport that will take you from the airport to Durham. More information on transport can be found at Duke University Transportation Services.
  •  Travel between campus locations can be done by a free bus. For times the campus buses are not running, see Safe Ride (919-684-SAFE).
  •  Participants will be staying at the Washington Duke Inn, located on the edge of campus. The Sessions will be held in the Fuqua School of Business room #2008. Duke Interactive Map

   Weather

  •  June in North Carolina can range from 60 degrees in the evenings to 100 during the day.

  Dining

  •  There are several dining facilities on campus.  (ie. Au Bon Pain, Divinity Cafe, Loop Pizza Grill, Nasher Museum Cafe and more) 
  •  Duke Clinic Food Court is a food court at the basement level of the Duke Clinic with name-brand eateries. Starbucks Coffee, Chick-fil-A, Subway, Panda Express and Chop'd & Top'd Salads and More.
  •  Duke Hospital North Cafeteria (The Atrium) is located on the first floor across from the staff elevator lobby, the cafeteria is open 365 days a year. It has a Deli, Grill, Hot Entrees, Salad Bar, Pizza, Desserts, yogurt and some fresh fruit.
  •  There's a Kroger's grocery store on Hillsborough Road, a Harris Teeter grocery store off Ninth Street, and a Whole Foods store adjacent to East Campus on Broad Street, for those who want to venture further.
  •  A wide variety of cuisines are available in Durham. There are some great restaurants and bars on Ninth Street and along Main Street downtown. These two streets are easily accessible from East Campus, which is accessible by campus bus from West Campus.

 Health

  •  In the event of a life-threatening emergency, participants should go directly to the Emergency Department (684-2413). If necessary, Duke Police (911 or 684-2444) will provide on-campus transportation to the Emergency Department.

 Banking

  •  The Wells Fargo Branch at Duke is located on the first floor of the Clinic Bldg, a 5-10 minute walk from the Social Sciences Bldg. Wells Fargo also has an ATM in the basement of the student center (Bryan Center); other services available on that ATM are: VISA, MasterCard, Honor, PLUS, Cirrus, NYCE, Quest, Armed Forces Financial Network, and Maestro. Two other bank ATMs are available in the basement of the student center: SunTrust (VISA, MasterCard, PLUS, Cirrus, Discover/Novus, American Express, Quest, ATFN); and Bank of America (MasterCard, American Express, PLUS, Cirrus, Maestro, STAR, Discover, Quest).
