Conference participants coming from out of town will be lodged at the Washington Duke Inn (shown above) at the conference's expense. A room has already been reserved for all out-of-town participants. The Washington Duke Inn is located in at 3001 Cameron Boulevard in Durham, North Carolina, on the western edge of Duke University's West Campus. The local airport is RDU. There are direct flights to RDU from London and, starting in May 2016, from Paris. The only reasonable way to get from the airport to any point in Durham is by cab. (There is a regional bus service, Go Triangle, but it is inconvenient, and there is no light rail system.) A cab ride will cost around $40. It is customary to tip the driver; $5 will do. Some area hotels may have shuttle service to the airport as well. |
