Robert W. Dimand, who spent the 2013-14 academic year at the HOPE Center as a senior research fellow, has published a new book on James Tobin.

Tobin was the leading monetary economist among the American Keynesians. He won the Nobel Prize in 1981.

Robert, or Bob, as he is known, worked on the book during his fellowship at the Center.

Bob has a personal and professional connection to Tobin: Tobin was Bob's dissertation director when he was a PhD student at Yale. Tobin was also a great admirer of another economist about whom Bob has written extensively, Irving Fisher.
